Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Cedarvault website or engaging our cataloging services. By accessing our site or booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Definitions
- "We / Us / Our" — Cedarvault, the household records cataloging studio operating from Lot 15, Jalan Padungan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
- "You / User" — any person who visits this website or engages our services.
- "Services" — the records organisation, cataloging, and annual care services described on this website.
- "Session" — a booked appointment, whether at our studio or at your residence.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with any booking confirmation.
- "Content" — all text, images, tools, and materials on this website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or booking a service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- All information you provide is accurate and complete
If you are booking on behalf of another household member or a business entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that party to these terms.
3. Services We Offer
Cedarvault provides practical household records organisation and cataloging services in the Kuching area, Sarawak. Current offerings include:
- Digital Records Organising Session — half-day session at RM 530
- Paper and Digital Catalog Project — four-session project at RM 1,460
- Annual Records Care Subscription — quarterly visits at RM 2,760 per year
Services are available to residents and businesses within the Kuching area. We do not collect or retain copies of your documents. Our work is organisational and advisory in nature; we do not provide legal, financial, or compliance advice.
4. Bookings and Payment
- Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of a booking deposit or full payment as agreed at time of enquiry.
- All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is accepted by bank transfer or such other methods as communicated at booking.
- Full payment for single sessions is due before the session begins. Project and subscription payments may be structured in instalments as agreed in writing.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a scheduled session receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the session forfeit the deposit.
- We reserve the right to reschedule with reasonable notice if unforeseen circumstances arise on our end.
- Subscription services may be cancelled at the end of any quarterly period with 30 days' written notice. No partial-period refunds are issued.
5. Your Responsibilities
When using our website or services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate contact and scheduling information
- Ensure documents and items to be cataloged are lawfully in your possession
- Not misuse this website or attempt to access it in a way that disrupts service for others
- Not reproduce, resell, or distribute our printed index templates, tools, or methodologies without written permission
For home visit sessions: you agree to provide a safe and accessible working environment. If conditions are unsuitable on the day, we may reschedule without penalty to either party.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, layout, index templates, and methodology documents — is the property of Cedarvault or its licensors and is protected under applicable Malaysian intellectual property laws.
You may print or save content from this website for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt it for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
7. Confidentiality
In the course of providing our services, we may see personal or financial documents belonging to you or your household. We treat all such information with discretion and do not copy, photograph, transmit, or disclose the contents of any document we handle.
Our staff sign a confidentiality undertaking before conducting any client session. If you wish, we can provide a written confidentiality agreement specific to your engagement before work begins.

- Our services are organisational and educational in nature. We do not provide legal, financial, accounting, or medical advice.
- We do not assess the authenticity or validity of any documents we help you organise.
- This website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Outcomes from using our services depend on individual circumstances. We make no representation about specific results.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cedarvault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or services.
Our total liability to you in connection with any single service engagement shall not exceed the amount paid for that engagement.
We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, utility outages, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cedarvault and its staff from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of our website, or any false or misleading information you have provided to us.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing service arrangement by giving written notice:
- For single sessions or projects: at least 48 hours before the next scheduled appointment
- For annual subscriptions: 30 days' written notice before the end of a quarterly period
We may terminate or suspend access to our website at any time without notice if we believe there has been a breach of these terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall first be addressed through direct, good-faith discussion between the parties.
If a matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation through the Malaysian Mediation Centre before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
The courts of Kuching, Sarawak shall have jurisdiction over any proceedings arising from these terms.
13. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with any booking confirmation, constitute the full agreement between you and Cedarvault.
- Severability. If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full force.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under this agreement without our written consent.
- Notices. Formal notices should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our registered address.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For active subscriptions, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes your acceptance.
